Of course we had to get out the Inchimals again!
She really loves this activity and requested to do it several times this week.

309

One of the many Insect books we read was The Very Quiet Cricket by Eric Carl.
Here she is doing the preschool pack I made for her last year.

330

Spelling her name: Elaina
322

A Bug Math Worksheet, matching numbers 1-5 with corresponding insects…

323

324

Some puzzles from the story.  I made 4 of them,
however she expressed that I should have made one for each insect!

329

The rest of the puzzles…

333

Upper Case/Lower Case match.  She needed a little help with this one.

334

Here are the Bug Facts from the ring.
She matched each one up with the correct story card from the book.
Then we read the fact on each card.

335

336

Cricket sizing from largest to smallest…

327

The last part is for her to create or to draw her favorite bug.
(The cute little purple bug on the top is a scanned image of a bug
she and I created using Eric Carl's style of painting.)

332

Some review from Confessions…She placed a pom pom on the matching lowercase letter.

338

339

Her worksheets for the week:  Letter I coloring page, smallest object,  letter Ii hunt…

341

342

343

Here she is doing our Busy Bugs set.
This has been one of the best tools we have and gets used a lot!

344

347

Another fun activity:  A learning journey makes a lot of fun
puzzle activities and we are fortunate to own many of them.
This is a new one called Who Am I?

351

We had to have Ice Cream Sundaes!
These ones had Chocolate and Carmel Sauce with
Chocolate Chips and glazed walnuts.
 Yummy!

316

318

Doing an insect pattern from Playful Patterns...

034

035

This is an awesome activity by Lakeshore Learning called Beginning Sounds.
Each card has 4 objects on it and you match a free object
with the same beginning sound to it.
For example, B= Butterfly and B=Button.
She loved this activity and requested to do it a bunch.

037

My girl loves to draw, so I set up everything for her to make a poster of insects.
She chose 5 cards from a flash card set we have and we read all about each of those bugs.
Then she set to drawing them.
Without any instruction, she drew and colored each one of them!
We had to hang it in the school room!

I just love this picture of her coloring.
She has on one of her Tu-Tu dresses with a straw hat and a princess crown!
Now that’s style for ya!
