Peek at our Week

Nothing very exciting to share.

In fact, a pretty normal week around here.  School, reading, cooking, with a bit of cleaning mingled in for good measure.

The boys are learning about Egypt.  There has been a lot of mummy talk around here, which I find really gross.  Of course if I find something gross, you can bet my nine year old boys find it fascinating…

They also learned about ancient writing, each of them spending time through the week discovering the challenges of using this form of documentation.

Nate made his poster say, “Nate his Royal Highness”, rather than his first and last name as assigned.  I honestly had to stifle my chuckling in order to correct him and urge him to carefully follow directions while doing school…

Elaina moved on to double digit addition and is also spelling/reading consonant blends.  So exciting to see her catch on to new things!

Olivia did letter “O” this week.  She actually wasn’t too interested in school.  She was far to busy playing “Elsa” all day and singing “Let It Go”….

I’m getting awfully tired of eating eggs.

And gluten free crackers…

I liked the chopped Kale salad with figs and walnuts though.

And the gluten free brownies were really yummy.

We had a nice and quiet Easter at home.  If you call four kids ramped up on candy quiet.  After I had my tall glass of Merlot, their noise didn’t bug me too much…Winking smile
