They rarely agree.
So often is strife between them.
A chance glance at the two, the older reading to the younger.
She listens quietly as he reads.
He extends an offer to read another, and she graciously accepts.
And this moment is locked in my memory.
A snow filled day, just a weeks before Christmas.
And the two together in peace…
