Olivia had a wonderful week in “cool” this week!
I love seeing the progress she is making,
and wish I had better documented the boys and Elaina at this stage.
Here’s a look at what she did this week:
Since the Diva was in “Mm” week,
we did a lot of similar activities for Olivia.
She loves this one from Lakeshore Learning Feed the Monkey.
This was the first time she tried to use the tweezers.
I got out our M for Monster magnet page from Making Learning Fun.
She didn’t want to use the magnets this week, but instead asked to color her page.
Then she switched over to using her left hand for a while.
I’ve never seen her do that before!
She was very focused and intentional with her coloring,
trying to fill in each of the circles.
She hasn’t done this puzzle in a while,
and this time around she did very well.
She took one section off at a time, and then placed them each back on.
I’ve tried to get her to play with Play-doh before,
but normally she refuses.
This time she had fun squishing it down onto the letter Mm.
These size sequencing monkey’s are part of our Monkey Tot Pack from 1+1+1=1.
Here she is making her arms move like a monkey and saying Ooo Ooo.
Then she requested to color the monkey’s….
Another part to the Tot Pack, Parts of a Monkey.
She loved this activity, and pointed to each body part as I named them.
Her vocabulary is expanding so much.
Here’s a peak at the rest of the Tot pack:
Monkey Parts, What Color Does Monkey Like?,
How Many Monkey’s, Monkey Size Sorting,
and 5 Little Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed.
She did a little Beginner Pattern Blocks…
And some more coloring…
I got out this bean, rice, and macaroni activity
that I have had since the boys were small.
A variety of spoons, scoops, and containers to pour them into.
This occupied her for at least 25 minutes,
and she cried when I put it up because it was time for lunch.
We had a few really nice days here this week,
and were able to go to the park that is in our neighborhood.
Olivia loves to swing and is learning to enjoy the slide.
She is just like her brothers and sister and loves to do anything outside!
Linking up with Tot School from 1+1+1=1.
Be sure to check out all the other great ideas!
Love all the outdoor pictures! The Feed the Monkey game looks really fun!
