Olivia was back in her normal groove of loving school, and asking to do it.
Now that she is a little older, it has been easier to have her do a lot of the activities that I had set out for Elaina and have her follow along with similar themes and activities. I’ve been doing a lot of planning, printing, and organizing for FIAR (Five In A Row is the curriculum for Elaina) and LOTW (Letter Of The Week is for Olivia, similar to what I did with Elaina this year, just toned down a bit) for both girls next year, and it feels so good to be getting all of that done ahead of time!
I guess I am kind of a geek that way….
This week we focused on Letter R things:
Rainbows, Red, Robots
She played a bit with the Red Discovery Bin.
She still loves to stack, and these knobless cylinders are so much fun for her.
We got down the TaDoodles again, and she made a beautiful masterpiece…
She asked to play with these magnetic counting chips every day. She liked to put them into containers or onto these Robot Magnet pages.
I found her digging in our puzzle bin one morning and she requested to play with these magnetic dolls.
I love how she dressed the doll!
Play-doh is also a favorite of hers. She likes to smoosh it and break it into small pieces.
She also chose this puzzle to do. We all love the animal sounds that she makes, especially the pig sound!
Olivia asks to color all day long. She only wants to use the markers though, and usually ends up coloring herself in the process. I need to just break down and get some washable ones…
She sorted out pom poms into a mini ice cube tray.
And played with these magnetic animals.
She made a poster with stickers….
And played with water beads.
She gave lots of hugs…
And made lots of messes.
FUN SCHOOL
She got to ride her cousins Princess Quad too, and she loved it!
Looks like a great week!
ReplyDeleteThe magnetic animals look like a lot of fun - can I ask where you got them?
They are Lakeshore Learning brand, but an old set that they no longer sell. Would you believe I found them unopened at a thrift store for $3? Great deal, huh?
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by!
That is an amazing deal! I was going to ask the same question.
ReplyDeleteLittle Olivia is so cute! My little guy is the same way with markers. Think he does it on purpose, hehe.
Yes - I know she does it on purpose too! She watches me while she is drawing on herself....oy!
