Kindergarten Wrap-up (Elaina 2013)
My little girl is officially done with Kindergarten!
She is so excited to be a first grader, and do “real” school work like her brothers. I wonder how long the excitement will last…
This is the third kid I have taught Kindergarten to, and very little has changed between them. Aside from a list of skills I hope they can learn, my main goal is exposure to some basic concepts, establishing routine, learning to listen to directions, and a growing confidence to be able to work independently.
Elaina has done very well this year, aside from her reluctance to read. I really didn’t expect that from her, but like everything else with homeschooling, nothing ever ends up being the way I expect!
Here is a re-cap of her year:

I've been going through your blog, and you seem to have an awesome supply of hands on materials. We're starting kindergarten this year, and I was wondering if you would give me a list of some of your must have items. Thanks!
I'm working on a post with our favorite materials actually so check back soon! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful Kindergarten year :)
