I had in my mind that this was going to be a difficult week to plan,
and that we would just fill our time with the leftover
letter P activities that we didn’t complete last week.
We ended up having a pretty full schedule though.
Here’s a look at what Elaina did:
As usual we got out the Word Whammer. Q says qua.
And letter Q worksheet from Confessions of a Homeschooler…
Letter Q play-doh page and cookie cutter..
Still using these awesome Follow-The-Dots stamps too.
Smallest object page & Letter Q hunt…
and our homemade pom pom magnets...
She did a fun paper weaving project to make her own quilt.
I cut strips of paper about an inch wide,
and she wove them together.
Over, under, over, under…
Q is for Quack
We got out several of our duck activities for a day.
And read some great books:
Quack and Count, Click Clack Quackity Quack, EarthQuack,
Harry McLary and Zachary Quack, and Giggle Giggle Quack.
Harry McLary and Zachary Quack, and Giggle Giggle Quack.
We played one of her favorite games, Duck Duck 123.
I gave her our lower case abc felt set for her alphabet review,
while I read Click, Clack, Quackity, Quack.
Q is for Quiet…..shhhh
She did this file folder game that I made last year called Loud sounds –Soft sounds.
Then I had her practice making some loud sounds and quiet sounds.
We read a cute book too, Quiet Wyatt!
We did portions of our Quiet Cricket Preschool Pack, and read the book as well.
Elaina is almost halfway through her number workbook.
She is on number 9 now!
We did another fun abc review with this little magnetic writer.
I called out the letter and she wrote it out.
I don’t always mention these resources, but we love them!
Just for fun
Visiting from preschool corner. I just finished Letter Q with my almost 4yo son. I love the paper quilt. What a great idea. We are making fleece knot quilts this weekend, but this activity is really more for my almost 6yo and I have a feeling I will be making my son's quilt (even though he picked out fun Mickey Mouse fleece). I will store these ideas away for PreK letter Q week next year. Thanks for sharing!

Love it! Q is an awesome letter! Love this age. My girls have outgrown it and my boy is too young. Can't wait til next year for him!
ReplyDeleteI am very much excited sending my little princess to preschools, I could imagine those sweet smiles painted on her face while doing her crafts just like your daughter. Autism Education Thanks for sharing it up!
