Posh Princess Preschool {H is for Horses}

Letter H

Olivia is cruising right along with her letter-of-the-week.  We'll probably take a little holiday break this week though.

She loved this unit!  We don't have a lot of horse specific toys, except for My Little Ponies, so I added in a lot of farm themed activities.

I don't have too many pictures of her with her preschool box things this week.  My camera is dying a slow and painful death and almost every picture I took this week was not worthy to publish here.  Plus she was so excited that she zoomed through stuff and I had to fill her baskets twice!  The second time around was nearly all farm themed stuff though.

I made a big pack of printables for Olivia this week that included a lot of new activities.  Her favorite was Pretty Ponies.  Click here for the printable pack.

Horse Themed Preschool Fun

We did several Farm themed puzzles, played Farm Sounds Bingo, and did lots of play with My Little Ponies too.

Also, totally unrelated to horses, we made flubber for Fun Friday.  She chose yellow for her flubber and has had a blast playing with it nearly every day since we made it.

Horse Preschool Books

There are like a million and one horse books out there.  These are the ones that our library had that we enjoyed:

Wonder Horse
Blue Horse
The Wild Little Horse
The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses
Appaloosa Zebra
Everything But the Horse

Horse Preschool Printables

I have another set of Preschool Printables to share!

Originally I had planned to expand H is for Hippo, but Olivia was sooo not interested in Hippos.  It was only natural to make her a set with her favorite animal, horses!

This was her favorite activity of the week: Pretty Ponies.  I thought we had a bunch of pony beads for her to use, but we didn’t so I ended up giving her Fruit Loops instead.  That was even better in her book though.  Edible school work?  Are you kidding me?  Score!

It was quite a process, but she loved it!  I will definitely add this sort of activity to her other upcoming theme weeks.
