Moments to Remember...

I love this idea from Homeschool Creations and 1+1+1=1!
There are lots of reasons we love to homeschool,
but the time we get together in fellowship is top of the list.
What a fantastic way to  put all of those special moments in one place!
My first list here is a bit long, just couldn't help myself...

Why we love  homeschool
and the moments we want to remember..

She is really enjoying our Follow-the-Dots Stamps

153

154

And she is still using our Purpllinker with each new letter..

172

Here is a fun new count and sort activity I found this summer for her.
She sorted the small houses by color first.
This was a great chance to go over beginning sounds in the color words.
She also looked through the color words for letters she recognized.

175

176

177

179

After that she sorted out these disks by color and number.
She needed a little help with a couple of numbers,
but has really improved in her number recognition skills!

183

She spent a lot of time this week, coloring horses (her favorite animal!)

184

Here is her letter of the week craft: H for horse.

195

She has been working through the workbook
Hands-On Thinking Skills, which we love
This book has great pre-math concepts such as:  forming/following sequences and patterns,
classifying objects and groups, finding similarities and differences.
We use a few different sets of manipulative's including interlocking cubes,
pattern blocks, and attribute blocks.

198

We are still loving our Now I'm Reading A-Z books.

199

Here is a fun sticker activity with horses.
She played with this for hours this week!

My Grandmother gave me this wonderful doll/puppet set to go along with
 “There Was An Old Lady”.
I really treasure this because it was something I remember her doing with me as a child.
The kids all love it too, and we all get quite animated
when we sing the song/tell the story!

207

210

216

These are the letter tile cards that go along with the story.
We used scrabble pieces this time.
She needed a lot of help with this activity because it was
transferring upper and lower case letters to each other.
She eventually gave up and just used dry erase marker to go over the words.

219

228

Still doing her Kumon maze book…

229

Building a house from our Shape Shuffle set…

232

233

And a fun build-as-you-go puzzle….

It mixes charades, drawing, trivia, and action questions.
 Lots of fun!
