We took a much needed (and requested) trip south to visit family for a bit of an early spring break. The weather was beautiful and it was so fun to see everyone! We were also royally spoiled
.We were blessed with easy travels and got to do a lot of fun things, including a trip to Pinnacle Peak, the swimming pool, Pump-it-Up, In & Out, and a local favorite, eegees.
In typical Sanchez fashion, it wasn’t without incident. Nate ended up in the ER with asthma/allergy problems, Elaina got some sort of stomach bug, and Isaac fell into a cactus. Each of the kids took their turns trying to drown, and forcing my ex-lifeguard sis to polish up her life-saving skills on more than one occasion. We also got some really sad news about my mom, which I will wait to share the details about until later.
Even in the midst of all of that, it was really nice to get a break and take a rare family vacation. The kids are still talking about the wonderful things they got to do, and the great time they got to spend with their cousin, especially Olivia who asks daily, “Can we go see Gia please?” so sweet….
