New Kittens

Our sweet cat Maycee had kittens on Mother’s Day.

We were getting ready for church, when Saul passed by our closet and noticed that she was purring really loudly.  I went to check, and saw she was on top of a suitcase with 2 kittens!

We’d already made her a Queening bed, so Saul brought it up for her.  We transfered her and the kitties into the bed, left her in the closet, and went off to church.

Just after we returned from church, she had her third kitten.

Maycee was so sweet and attentive.  I really thought she would have another one, but after a while she seemed to calm down, started resting, eating, and then fell asleep.  We left them all alone for the night.

Later the next day, I went to check on the group, and discovered…..

A fourth kitten!

There are 3 female kittens, and 1 male.

The kids are insisting that they can each have their own…..I think not.

We are trying to leave momma and her babies alone for the most part, just checking in a couple times to make sure there is water and food, and changing out the towels as needed.

Stay tuned for more pictures as they grow!

Awww, so sweet! (And I'm not even a cat person. There is something irresistible about kittens.)

You are so right! I think that is going to make it even harder to give them all up...

Oh my goodness! They are all so adorable. I don't blame your kids for wanting to keep them.
